EKOseed TURF
EKOseed® TURF is a biostimulant for the treatment of turf seeds, made of different non-genetically modified strains of soil bacteria and fungi.
In EKOseed® TURF, there are strains of:
- Pseudomonas sp. – it has the ability to produce siderophore substances, which, chelating the iron naturally present in the soil, make it more easily available for plants’ absorption.
- Bacillus sp. – it enhances salinity tolerance and absorption of nourishing elements, thanks to the production in the rhizosphere of organic acids and phosphatase.
- Trichoderma sp. – it has a great ability to colonize the space in proximity of the roots. It is able to secrete enzymes able to release Phosphorus and substances useful for the plants’ metabolism.
- Mycorrhizae. – they enter in symbiosis relationship with the roots, stimulating their growth and enabling them to explore new soil zones, thus helping the roots to better uptake nutrients which would not normally be available.
The advantages derived from the application to the turf seeds of EKOseed® TURF are:
- Higher seeds germinability.
- Higher efficiency in water and nutrients absorption from the plant.
- A more intense green coloration, given by a higher absorption of Iron, made more available from Pseudomonas sp.
- Higher tolerance to abiotic stresses (hydric, saline, climatic, …).
- Thanks to a more efficient assimilation of nutrients, the turf shows a better resistance to soil-borne pathogens’ attacks.
To maintain the lawn for all the season, SP Sourcon Padena suggests to apply every 4-6 weeks EKOprop® TURF, soluble in water, that, strengthening the microbiota applied through EKOseed® TURF, helps the turf to resist stresses.
